How do I use the app to record and analyze swim meet videos?
After signing up, you can record videos of your swimmer's races in our app. You will have the ability to add performance data either live during the race or afterward.
What is "performance data from videos"?
Performance data refers to various metrics that you can input into the app to track and analyze your swimmer's performance. These metrics include time, speed, stroke count, and more.
Who should input the data?
Ideally, the swimmer should input the data to become more engaged in understanding their performance. However, parents can initially input the data to learn the process and later guide their swimmers.
Can I share the data and videos with coaches?
Yes, videos and data can be shared with coaches if you and the coaches are connected through a "training group" within the app. You can belong to multiple groups and switch between them as needed.
What is included with the annual membership?
An annual membership allows you to record and manage videos, access performance analysis tools, and share these with designated coaches or groups. Plus our extensive video educational library.
What does full access to the video library entail?
Full access includes entry to a vast library of over 3,000+ swim technique videos ranging from beginner lessons to advanced techniques demonstrated by Olympians. Your personal videos are kept private and are not added to this library.
What are the options for recording and storing videos?
You can record videos either directly in the app or with your phone’s camera and then import them. Videos recorded in the app are temporarily stored in your device's photo library and synced to the cloud for space-saving and easy access.
What happens to my videos if I delete my account?
If you delete your account, you can first download your videos from the cloud. Upon account deletion, your videos will be removed from our cloud storage in compliance with GDPR
What are the privacy and compliance standards of the app?
The app adheres to COPPA, MAAPP, GDPR, and USA Swimming Safe Sport guidelines to ensure the privacy and security of minors.
Can the app be used for team fundraisers or events?
Yes, GoSwim offers support through an affiliate system that benefits teams financially when their members join through specific affiliate links
